Aura vs. Product.
After reading the pocket-sized penguin classic Andy Warhol: Fame , I’m left feeling intrigued and empathetic. Topically, it gives the reader an insight to Warhol’s musings and insecurities on; Fame, Beauty, and Love. You read this at the park or outside the laundry-mat. If you have AD-HD you shouldn’t attempt reading this at a local cafe that plays music that mf’ing distracting bro. It's 56 pages long. I'm a moron and skimmed through it before bed and on my Sunday trip to the laundry. In the chapter titled Fame, he talks about aura vs. product, mentioning how he was contracted to do a commercial and how they wanted him for his aura. He despised this, going on to mention people’s preoccupation with his aura rather than good product. This made me think of branding, brand-identity, influencers etc, artists as influencers. I love products more than posts but I guess they depend on each other nowadays. Warhol reminisces on his days as a shoe illustrator explaining he could tell how much money he’d have by the volume of illustrations he produced. And that an artist should regularly keep account of the things they produce. Aura farming creates engagement making yourself into a product that needs to maximize itself and morph constantly, that is if your goal is clout. Everyone loves feedback and attention myself included. It just gets incredibly murky in there. I want people to buy what I’m selling but I don’t have the resources to produce the product yet. I love how a good product makes you think about who you are and your identity/interests at a given time.

Finding the right duvet cover is important, having a cup of coffee in the morning is important, cleaning your house is important, some things just need to happen in life no matter what and some things are easier than others obviously. My twin-sized duvet cover had experienced probably 10+ years of washes, making the cotton incredibly worked and soft. I always want something that's been used, especially when its fabric coming in contact with my skin. My girlfriend has put me on to the importance of materials that do so. My girlfriend and her roommates have devised a brilliant system of cleaning and maintaining general up-keep in their living space which I’ve come to admire. Different chores are evenly allotted amongst each other. In my living space we do have a white board but no scheduling has been made yet or who-does-what is up in the air but I’m definitely doing the dishes and floors. I’m just terrified of having cockroaches again, but I say that's justified craziness.
WORLD MENU HEIST! Culture Vulturing Venturi Denise Scott Brown Type.
On our way to Mediterranean Grill the best meal in Halifax for the price. Me and Charlotte see an advert on the bus shelter displaying a coupla burgs on sum crates with flags and shit. Now, this is post-World-Cup-Meal which I’d have to assume was a cash cow for them. This is a prime example of how one thing can never say the same, and a business needs to steal whether it be culinary or stylistically or a combination of both. Survival at a multi-national corporal level requires adaptation and remix, foreign intrigue. People get bored easily and are in a full-fledged rom-com with spectacle where no one will reach climax. The explore page is essentially everyone's own personal marvel movie written and produced by them and a robot. Food is the ultimate entryway into any given culture according to my gf’s family after I said I don’t enjoy cooking. I love Mediterranean Grill, but because I eat it every now and then doesn’t mean I’m interested in Middle-Eastern culture, it means I’m hungry and this place is delicious and locally owned and I want to go there because its fire. I digress, culture has already been thoroughly homogenized by way of digital technologies.
